Job summary

JP Management LLC is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial strategy for a multifamily real estate portfolio. This senior role partners with ownership and executive management to drive profitability, cash flow, and capital allocation across property-level entities and the management company.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in real estate finance, CPA or MBA, and a strong background in NOI, cap rates, IRR, and debt financing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or related field.
• CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
• Approximately 10+ years of progressive financial experience in multifamily or commercial real estate.
• CFO experience with substantial real estate owner/operator, developer, or investment firm preferred.
• Strong understanding of NOI, cap rates, DSCR, IRR, and real estate valuation.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
• Experience working with banks, lenders, CPAs, attorneys, and other real estate professionals.
• Experience with Entrata CRM or similar is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with growth plans.
• Serve as principal financial advisor to ownership regarding the real estate portfolio.
• Drive initiatives to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
• Develop long-term financial models to assist ownership with portfolio growth and capital allocation.
• Review monthly property financial statements, operating results, balance sheets, cash flows, and variances.
• Evaluate capital improvement projects and their effect on rents, NOI, and value.
• Oversee accounting functions for the real estate portfolio and management company.
