The client is hiring a Chief Financial Officer in Philadelphia, PA to lead the accounting and finance function for a growing real estate organization. This hands-on executive role will oversee financial operations, reporting, budgeting, cash flow, financing, controls, and team leadership, partnering directly with ownership on strategic and operational initiatives.

Key responsibilities include leading accounting, finance, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting; overseeing close processes, accounts receivable and payable, reconciliations, property-level accounting, and multi-entity financial reporting; managing budgets, forecasts, cash flow, capital planning, financial modeling, and performance analysis; overseeing lender relationships, financing activities, debt compliance, liquidity, and real estate-related financial requirements; and assessing current operations to implement scalable processes, internal controls, systems, and reporting improvements.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and 25+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including significant senior leadership and hands-on responsibility for accounting operations. Extensive real estate accounting and finance experience is required, including multi-entity and property-level reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and lender reporting, along with advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills and experience with real estate accounting, ERP, and financial reporting systems. Strong executive leadership, financial judgment, communication, organization, process improvement, and team development skills are required, with the ability to operate hands-on in an entrepreneurial environment.
