Job summary

The Hollister Group is seeking a senior technology business analyst for Private and Strategic Investments focusing on Real Estate. You will elicit business needs, document specs, and drive system implementation from inception to production.

You will collaborate with Real Estate Deal, Portfolio and Finance teams, mentor junior staff, and support AI-enabled solutions to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or advanced degree in computer science, systems and/or finance.
• Master’s Degree with concentration in finance or technology preferred
• 7+ Years of experience
• AI enablement is a prerequisite: demonstrated fluency with generative AI tools and a track record of applying them to improve productivity, deliver business solutions, and drive adoption across teams
• Experience with Real Estate and other alternatives investment concepts / terminology and systems a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills

• Form strong working relationships with internal users - both business and technical - to facilitate application support
• Gather, validate, document, and facilitate implementation of business requirements for technology initiatives (includes business/data requirements, data flows, data modeling, workflow context and design, and user interface designs)
• Lead and participate in system planning and testing

• Fulfill responsibilities related to production support as well as application development projects simultaneously

Job description

This position will be working directly with Private and Strategic Investments business units focused on Real Estate business. The person will participate at various levels in all technology related initiatives from inception to implementation and support. Through an in-depth knowledge of the business, this position will elicit the business processes, gather business and functional requirements, develop needs analysis, document functional / technical specifications and perform system / user acceptance testing around hardware and software implementations. work with Real Estate Deal, Portfolio and Finance teams to evaluate and implement offshell/custom internal build solutions leveraging AI to augment current state processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Form strong working relationships with internal users - both business and technical - to facilitate application support
• Gather, validate, document, and facilitate implementation of business requirements for technology initiatives (includes business/data requirements, data flows, data modeling, workflow context and design, and user interface designs)
• Lead and participate in system planning and testing
• Participate in user acceptance testing and support system training / documentation
• Fulfill responsibilities related to production support as well as application development projects simultaneously
• Develop and own documentation in support of technology requests
• Manage and provide mentorship to junior team members

TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE:

• Prior experience with Argus, Asset Eye / RealPage, Yardi or other real estate portfolio management systems
• Prior experience with Anaplan, Investran, eFront or other Private Equity systems a plus
• Cutting-edge skills in managing business requirements through the development lifecycle
• Expertise in developing workflow and functional Use Cases
• Intermediate skill level in data modeling, normalization, and SQL queries
• Prior experience with reporting and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted (“vibe coding”) development using agentic tools such as Claude Code and Claude Cowork to prototype, build, and iterate on solutions

Compensation:

Expected Annual Base Salary $155,000 - $185,000
