Job summary

Brixmor Property Group is seeking a Real Estate Attorney to join our Regional Legal Services team, focusing on commercial retail leasing. You will draft, review, and negotiate leases, amendments, and related agreements under the VP's direction.

You will manage leasing transactions, review LOIs, and work with tenants, counsel, brokers, and internal teams to reflect approved terms. The role requires strong drafting and negotiation skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum three years of experience drafting and negotiating commercial real estate leases.
• Retail leasing experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to manage a high volume of transactions in a fast-paced, business-oriented environment.

Job description

We are seeking a Real Estate Attorney to join our Regional Legal Services team, with a primary focus on commercial retail leasing. This position will work under the direction of the VP of Regional Legal Services and will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating leases, lease amendments, and related commercial real estate agreements.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate retail leases, amendments, and related agreements.
• Manage assigned leasing transactions from initial draft through execution.
• Review LOIs and other deal materials to ensure lease documents accurately reflect approved business terms.
• Work directly with internal business teams, tenants, tenant counsel, brokers, and other third parties.
• Identify and resolve routine legal issues and elevate significant matters as appropriate.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum three years of experience drafting and negotiating commercial real estate leases.
• Retail leasing experience strongly preferred.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
