Job summary

Halaby Capital is seeking an Asset Management Associate to own portfolio performance, reporting, and PM oversight across B and C class multifamily assets. The role includes secondary acquisitions support and strong operational financial analysis.

Fluency with Yardi, RealPage, Entrata, or AppFolio is required. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in asset management, proven budgeting and lender compliance experience, and a collaborative, entrepreneurial approach.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in multifamily asset management, preferably with B and C class properties.
• Direct experience managing or overseeing third‑party property management companies.
• Full asset management cycle: budgeting, variance analysis, CapEx oversight, lender compliance, and investor reporting.
• Acquisitions or underwriting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own portfolio oversight across B and C class multifamily assets with accuracy.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly asset‑level reporting with variance analyses, KPI dashboards, leasing metrics, and NOI performance.
• Lead annual budgeting with property managers and track performance against budgets.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify underperformance and implement corrective actions.
• Navigate Yardi/RealPage/Entrata to pull reports and analyze KPIs.
• Oversee capital improvement programs, draw schedules, and ROI tracking.
• Monitor lender reporting requirements and insurance/covenant compliance.
• Support quarterly investor reporting and fund level performance.
• Perform quarterly site visits to assess conditions and needs.
• Evaluate hold/sell/refi decisions via asset valuation analyses.
• Track market rent trends and submarket dynamics.
