Job summary

Highmark Residential in Dallas, TX is seeking a Real Estate Financial Analyst to support underwriting and portfolio analysis for acquisitions and refinances. The role emphasizes market research, financial modeling, and collaboration with asset teams to improve performance.

Ideal candidates will have strong Excel skills, the ability to synthesize data from Axio/CBRE/Costar, and a disciplined, detail-oriented approach. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assist with financial pipeline – acquisitions and refinances.
• Coordinate underwriting materials for asset acquisitions.
• Maintain revenue and expense watch lists for assets.
• Update monthly performance reports with historical vs budget comparisons.
• Support implementation of new business strategies and program rollouts.
• Assist in determining quarterly and annual performance metrics for presentations.
• Utilize Axio/CBRE/Costar resources for reporting and presentations.

Essential functions include (but are not limited to):

• Assistance with financial pipeline – new acquisitions and refinances
• Coordinates initial underwriting materials to ownership for asset/portfolio acquisitions
• Maintains revenue and expense watch lists for assets
• Update monthly reports to monitor performance through historical and budget comparisons
• Special project analysis – Analyzing and assist with implementing new business strategies/programs roll outs
• Assist in determining quarterly and annual performance metrics for presentations, for public REIT, and private investments portfolios
• Utilizing industry market/submarket and economic research through Axio/CBRE/Costar resources for reporting and presentations

• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and Model Creation
• Ability to understand economic trends and forecasts
• Ability to source information from various market research organizations
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong work ethic, pride in work, team orientation, acute attention to detail and desire to learn.
• Ability to work under tight timeframes and balancing multiple assignments
