Job summary

SVA is seeking a Supervisor to lead the Real Estate Accounting team in Madison, WI. You will direct engagements for LIHTC and real estate clients, supervise staff, and review financial statements for proper presentation and disclosures.

You will develop junior staff through mentoring, coordinate client meetings, and support monthly billing while maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance. This role emphasizes leadership, client service, and accounting expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in public accounting.
• CPA preferred.
• Specialized knowledge: LIHTC, affordable housing, and real estate financial reporting.
• Role is based in Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Direct engagements for LIHTC and real estate clients, supervising engagement teams.
• Lead staff, review work papers and financial statements for accuracy and disclosure.
• Manage client communications, meetings and billing coordination.
• Ensure time budgets and hours targets, including 55 hours/week during busy season and 40–45 off-season.
• Mentor and develop junior staff and interns.
