Job summary

SVA | A Professional Services Company is seeking a Manager to join our Real Estate team in Brookfield, WI. You will oversee LIHTC and affordable housing engagements, manage staff and client relationships, and ensure high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced public accounting environment.

Based in Wisconsin, you will collaborate across the firm to optimize engagement planning, budgeting, and regulatory reporting while mentoring junior staff and supporting business development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Experience: 5+ years in public accounting.
• Certification: CPA required.
• Specialized knowledge: LIHTC, affordable housing, real estate reporting preferred.
• HUD/RD/state reporting knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead affordable housing and LIHTC audits and tax engagements from planning to delivery.
• Monitor engagement progress against budgets and deadlines.
• Supervise staff work products prepared for clients.
• Maintain ongoing client contact with developers, owners, management companies, syndicators and nonprofits.
• Onboard new clients as the main client liaison.
• Evaluate internal controls and report findings to management.
• Prepare monthly billings for clients.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to firm policies.
• Manage workload with 55 hours/week during peak season and 40–45 off-season.
• Support staff development and retention.
