Job summary

SVA Certified Public Accountants, S.C. in Madison, WI is seeking a Senior Manager to lead our Real Estate LIHTC engagements.

You will own complex audits and tax engagements, manage planning, fieldwork, and client communication, and heighten the practice with seasoned leadership. You will mentor staff, review work products, and develop relationships with affordable housing developers, management companies, and nonprofits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 9+ years’ experience in public accounting with LIHTC/affordable housing exposure.
• CPA certification is required.
• Deep knowledge of partnership taxation and housing accounting is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex affordable housing and LIHTC engagements from planning to client delivery.
• Monitor engagement budget, staffing, and timelines; ensure quality and proper sequencing.
• Perform quality control reviews and provide coaching to staff.
• Mentor accounting staff and support professional development.
• Identify opportunities to expand LIHTC services (audit, tax, consulting, compliance, advisory).
• Prepare monthly billings and maintain client confidentiality.
