Job summary

State Street is seeking a Fund Accounting & Administration Officer in New Jersey to lead day-to-day accounting for investment funds and affiliated entities. You will supervise junior staff, manage client relationships, and ensure accurate financial reporting and allocations.

You will coordinate with auditors and tax teams, review statements, and support capital calls/distributions while upholding fund agreements and corporate policies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of general ledger accounting or audit experience.
• 1 year of leadership experience.
• Previous financial reporting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).

Responsibilities

• Supervise lower level staff (Associate 1/2, Senior Staff).
• Manage client relationships with client personnel and fund investors.
• Review quarterly/annual financial work papers and schedules.
• Review financial statements and footnotes.
• Coordinate annual audit and tax return preparation with Big 4 firms.
• Oversee capital calls and distributions and related notices.
