State Street Corporation is seeking an experienced Fund Accounting & Administration Officer to join the Fund Controller Group. The team handles performance data reporting, financial statements, and tax work papers for global real estate funds and affiliated entities.

The role emphasizes supervising staff, maintaining direct client relationships, and coordinating audits with Big 4 firms, while ensuring compliance with fund documents and investor reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of general ledger accounting or audit experience.
• 1 year of leadership experience.
• Previous financial reporting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

Responsibilities

• Supervise all lower level staff (Associate 1/2, Senior Staff).
• Manage client relationships with client personnel and fund investors.
• Review quarterly/annual financial work papers, schedules, accruals, PCAP allocations.
• Review quarterly/annual financial statements and footnotes.
• Review and/or prepare annual tax work papers.
• Review/call distributions, notices and merged documents.
• Post journal entries and review monthly bank reconciliations.
• Coordinate annual audit and tax return prep with Big 4 firms.
• Ensure compliance with investment fund agreements and legal documents.
