Job summary

State Street is looking for a dedicated accounting professional to join our Private Equity and Real Assets Fund Services team in New Jersey. You will maintain ledgers, prepare statements and footnotes, and provide analytical reviews of fund performance, while supporting capital calls and fee calculations.

The role emphasizes strong communication with clients and auditors, along with rigorous organization to meet deliverables and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Fund accounting or public accounting experience required.
• CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification.
• Experience communicating with senior-level internal and external clients.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills with multi-tasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the general ledger for fund entities.
• Preparing work papers for financial statements and capital allocations.
• Preparing financial statements and footnote disclosures.
• Analytical review of monthly/quarterly investment and fund performance data.
• Reviewing capital calls, distributions and bank reconciliations.
• Calculating management, annual and incentive fee calculations.
• Preparing client correspondences.
• Calculating waterfalls and capital account allocations.
• Handling special projects as requested.
