Job summary

Bluegrass Community & Technical College is seeking a Ready to Work Coordinator to support KTAP participants engaged in educational activities. The role includes recruiting participants, intake and assessment, and case management to help students reach employment and self-sufficiency goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
• At least two years of experience in Social Services, Case Management, or working with students.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to commute in a variety of settings.
• Commitment to serving a community college environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit eligible participants for the Ready to Work program.
• Provide intake and assessment services to develop an education and employability plan.
• Provide case management services to identify needs, referrals, and support success goals.
• Facilitate the transition from Adult Education to postsecondary education for pre‑college participants.
• Deliver and/or facilitate life skills and career soft skills instruction.
• Develop work experience and work‑study placements, both on and off campus; submit all required employment documents.
• Travel to service counties to meet with RTW participants, worksite supervisors, and other community partners.
• Promote financial empowerment through workshops and counseling; assist with FAFSA and refer to Financial Aid Office.
• Maintain program records and submit reports as requested.
• Serve on college committees as assigned and perform other duties.
