Job summary

HRM Concrete is seeking a Ready Mix Plant Maintenance Technician in Baton Rouge to perform routine and preventative maintenance on plant equipment, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and pneumatic issues, and help ensure safe, reliable operations.

You will document maintenance activities, assist with installation of new equipment, and coordinate with plant management to schedule tasks. A minimum of 3 years in plant maintenance and strong hands-on skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; tech certs are a plus.
• Minimum 3 years in plant maintenance, preferably in concrete/construction.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of ready mix plant operations and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on ready mix plant equipment, including mixers, conveyors, and batching systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to ensure optimal plant operation.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize equipment failures and downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with plant management and other team members to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
