Job summary

HRM Concrete is seeking a dependable General Laborer to support our ready mix operations. You will help equipment operators, maintain the plant and yard, and perform general cleanup to keep production moving.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to work outdoors in varying weather, and a strong work ethic. Prior construction experience is a plus, and a valid driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior construction or concrete plant experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Ready Mix Loader Operator and plant staff with daily operations.
• Perform general housekeeping of the plant, yard, equipment, and work areas.
• Shovel, sweep, and remove spills to maintain a safe work environment.
• Assist with unloading and organizing materials and supplies.
• Support routine maintenance activities by gathering tools, parts, and equipment as directed.
• Inspect work areas for safety hazards and report concerns to supervisors.
• Help direct truck traffic and maintain safe loading and unloading areas when needed.
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely.
• Perform manual labor, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
• Complete other duties as assigned to support plant operations.

Job Description

As a General Laborer at HRM Concrete, you will play a vital role in supporting daily plant operations by assisting equipment operators, maintaining the plant and yard, performing general cleanup, and helping ensure materials and equipment are ready for production. This position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment, and a willingness to perform a variety of physical tasks.
