Job summary

HRM Concrete is seeking a dependable General Laborer to support ready mix operations in Monroe, LA. The role involves assisting equipment operators, maintaining the plant and yard, and performing general cleanup to ensure a safe, efficient production environment.

Candidates should be able to perform physically demanding tasks, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and comply with OSHA safety policies. Flexibility for early mornings, evenings, and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Ready Mix Loader Operator and other plant personnel with daily operations.
• Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning the plant, yard, equipment, and work areas.
• Shovel, sweep, and remove spilled aggregate, concrete, and debris to maintain a safe work environment.
• Assist with unloading and organizing materials and supplies.
• Support routine maintenance activities by gathering tools, parts, and equipment as directed.
• Inspect work areas for safety hazards and report concerns to supervisors.
• Help direct truck traffic and maintain safe loading and unloading areas when needed.
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely.
• Perform manual labor, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
• Complete other duties as assigned to support plant operations.

Job Description
