Job summary

Ampact is recruiting Reading Corps tutors to support students in local schools. You will deliver targeted reading activities, work in pairs for 20-minute sessions, and progress students toward stronger literacy skills. Training is provided and coaching is available throughout the service year.

We value dependable, engaged teammates who communicate well, follow schedules, and document progress. Roles are available for the 2026-27 school year; multiple part-time opportunities exist with a robust

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance history.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer skills (email and online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
