Job summary

Ampact Reading Corps is seeking Reading Tutors to help students become strong readers in local schools. You’ll deliver proven activities, coach students, and track progress with the onsite coach, building skills and confidence daily.

AmeriCorps positions offer a daytime schedule, hourly stipends, health benefits, childcare assistance, and education benefits to support your growth and service experience.

Qualifications

Dependable with a history of good attendance.
Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
Proficient in basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to provide consistent support.
Track student progress and meet regularly with onsite coach.
Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into data software.
