Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking a Certified Reading Specialist in Landenberg, PA to support our Devereux PA Day Academy. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, serving students with emotional and behavioral needs at the licensed private school located at 20 McMaster Blvd, Landenberg, PA 19350.

You will provide reading interventions, monitor progress, conduct screenings, participate in IEP meetings, and coach teachers to deliver reading instruction within a PW-PBIS framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education and/or Special Education required.
• Reading Specialist Certification required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to lead group meetings.

Responsibilities

• Provide reading intervention to students in individual and group settings.
• Maintain progress monitoring and data to support growth of students.
• Conduct screenings and provide diagnostic results of reading levels and needs.
• Attend IEP meetings and report on student progress.
• Provide consultation on reading instruction including modeling, observations and coaching to teachers and teacher's assistants.
• Work collaboratively with leadership and IEP teams to provide a continuum of reading instruction.
