Job summary

Parchment School District in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Title Aide to provide targeted support for identified at-risk students. You will work in flexible, small groups during Intervention/Enrichment periods under the direction of teachers and coaches.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 60 college hours or an associate degree or higher.
• Ability to assist in reading, writing, and mathematics instruction.
• Ability to assist in reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness.
• Previous experience with children in an educational setting is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Patience, empathy and a desire to help students succeed.
• Basic proficiency in using education software.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers in delivering instructional support to students in reading and/or mathematics.
• Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to students who require additional assistance.
• Help prepare instructional materials and resources for classroom activities.
• Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
• Assist in creating a welcoming and supportive classroom environment.
• Support students in developing social skills and positive behavior.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement strategies that meet diverse needs of students.
