Job summary

Minneapolis Public Schools seeks a Teacher, Interventionist - Reading, for FAIR High. The role is a 1.0 FTE (42 weeks) position focused on delivering reading intervention and aligning instruction with state and district standards.

Qualifications include a Minnesota teaching license or pending licensure, a Bachelor's degree, and prior urban multicultural teaching experience. Responsibilities include collaboration with staff and families, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
• Prior successful experience student teaching or teaching in an urban, multicultural education setting.
• Demonstrated continued professional development through course work, research, peer collaboration and/or job-embedded staff development.

Responsibilities

• Teach reading intervention within the FAIR High program.
• Use diverse assessment strategies to inform instructional decisions.
• Collaborate with campus STEM team and peers to align instruction across disciplines.
• Assess students' developmental, cognitive and social needs to tailor instruction.
• Create safe, respectful, engaging learning environments and address diverse needs.
