Job summary

Liberty Elementary School in Liberty, SC seeks a part-time Reading/Math Interventionist to support 2nd and 3rd-grade students. The role involves developing and monitoring the reading program and using MAP data to tailor instruction.

The position requires SC teaching certification and a preference for a Master’s degree with reading emphasis; 3+ years of teaching experience is preferred. 4 days/week, 4 hours/day.

Qualifications

• SC Teacher’s Certificate required.
• At least three years of successful classroom teaching and/or supervision preferred.
• Master’s degree preferred, with instruction/reading concentration.
• Knowledgeable of curriculum, instruction, evaluation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the Reading Interventionist for struggling 2nd and 3rd-grade students.
• Develops, implements, evaluates, and monitors reading program; informs principal and Instructional Services.
• Instructs students with reading difficulties.
• Analyzes ELA records and MAP data to inform lesson implementation.
• Implements instruction based on MAP data for identified students.
• Prepares data analyses to ensure progress.
