Job summary

Fridley Public Schools seeks a Reading Intervention Teacher for Fridley Middle School, serving grades 5–8. This 1.0 FTE position focuses on delivering targeted literacy interventions, monitoring progress with data, and adjusting instruction to meet each student’s needs.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the teaching and learning department, IB coordinators, principals, and families to ensure student growth, equity, and a positive learning environment across the building.

Position Overview: Reading Intervention Teacher - working with grades 5-8 students at Fridley Middle School. This position is 1.0 FTE.

Essential Job Functions:

• Responsible for creating and delivering effective instructional program for assigned students
• Responsible for implementing literacy interventions supported by student data
• Responsible to establish and maintain an atmosphere conducive to learning within the classroom and assist in same throughout the building
• Responsible for the assessment of student progress
• Responsible for collaborating with teaching and learning department, principals, parents, IB coordinators, other staff and professional learning communities to ensure student needs are being met.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Applying current trends and data in the field of education and support;;
• Utilizing standardized assessment tools;

Qualifications:

• Hold a baccalaureate degree from a college or university that is accredited
• Minnesota Department of Education teaching license required for specific assignment

Salary Range: BA, Step 1 at $51,599/yr to PhD, Step 17 at $111,313/yr, placement will vary depending on education and experience. View salary grid on the respective bargaining unit listed above, accessible via our Master Agreements page.
