Position Overview

1.0 FTE Science (Chemistry) long-term substitute teaching position to work with students at Fridley High School. This is a long-term substitute position. The contract days begin October 14, 2026 to December 22, 2026.

Essential Job Functions
  • Responsible for creating and delivering effective instructional program for assigned students
  • Responsible to establish and maintain an atmosphere conducive to learning within the classroom and assist in same throughout the building
  • Responsible for the assessment of student progress
  • Responsible for collaborating with teaching and learning department, principals, parents, IB coordinators, other staff and professional learning communities to ensure student needs are being met.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong desire and commitment to working with diverse students and staff;
  • Applying current trends and data in the field of high school education
  • Utilizing standardized assessment tools;
  • Effectively collaborating with a team; and
  • Constructively communicating with parent/guardian and team members.
Qualifications
  • Hold a baccalaureate degree from a college or university that is accredited
  • Minnesota Department of Education teaching license required for specific assignment
Salary Range

BA, Step 1 at $51,599/yr to PhD, Step 17 at $111,313/yr, placement will vary depending on education and experience. View salary grid on the respective bargaining unit listed above, accessible via our Master Agreements page.
