Job summary

Darlington County School District is seeking a Literacy Coach to enhance reading and literacy instruction. This role will support teachers through professional development based on student assessments.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and certification in literacy. Responsibilities include modeling instructional strategies, training teachers, and supporting district reading plans.

Preferably, candidates will have five years of experience in a classroom and a Master’s Degree in reading or closely related field.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher and have certification for literacy coaching.
• Master’s Degree in reading or related field preferred.
• Five years of successful classroom experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Model effective instructional strategies for teachers.
• Train teachers in data analysis for differentiated instruction.
• Support reading leadership teams and facilitate study groups.

Skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Education
