Job summary

Samaritan's Purse in Boone, NC is seeking a Readiness Coordinator to join our International Disaster Response Unit (IDRU). Through humanitarian work, the goal is to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel.

In this role you will manage the DART roster, coordinate staffing on incident teams, and deploy staff to emergencies and field offices while supporting payroll and performance discussions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Marketing, Communications, International Development, or related fields with 1+ year experience.
• International field experience strongly preferred.
• 12 credit hours of Biblical Studies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness.
• Serve as the primary contact and provide employee support to DART roster members.
• Manage DART roster database during and outside responses, pull reports, update profiles.
• Serve as staffing coordinator on the Incident Management Team during responses.
• Recommend and deploy DART members to emergencies, field offices, and surge roles.
• Oversee payroll for DART members attending training or deployments.
• Dialogue with DART to identify growth areas or address performance issues.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a Readiness Coordinator to join our International Disaster Response Unit (IDRU) in Boone, NC. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In the role of Readiness Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
• Serve as the primary point of contact and provide employee support to members of the DART roster
• Manage DART roster database during and outside of responses, to include pulling availability reports, updating profile and deployment history, training others on roster management software
• Serve as staffing coordinator or support staffing team on the Incident Management Team (IMT) during responses
• Recommend and deploy DART members to emergency responses, field offices, and technical/event support roles
• Oversee and approve payroll for DART members who attend training, support conferences, and deploy to emergency responses and/or surge capacity needs in country offices
• Dialogue with DART members to identify areas of growth and/or addresses performance issues
• Other duties as assigned

What are the qualifications?

As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university in Business Marketing, Communications, International Development, or other related fields and one or more years' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• International field experience strongly preferred
• 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies preferred
