How you will make an impact :

Follow procedures to manufacture a wireless, handheld Reader unit for pulmonary artery (PA) pressure monitoring. Perform assembly, tuning, and testing of the Reader and Docking Station devices throughout different stages of manufacturing while adhering to Good Documentation Practices for medical devices. Propose high-priority projects to improve system performance and support the team in implementing these projects.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Use tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex customer-returned electrical systems, following prescribed procedures. Apply problem-solving skills and technical judgment to determine root causes and corrective actions to resolve customer complaints, ensuring successful outcomes. Develop and propose process improvements. Act as SME for legacy electronic systems, including data mining, root cause analysis, trend identification, and collaborative product improvement with engineering.
  • Reverse engineer products to determine root causes, document findings per regulatory expectations, and communicate with Engineering to propose and implement solutions.
  • Monitor electrical system performance metrics, analyze data, and communicate trends to cross-functional teams. Support corrective actions based on data analysis.
  • Provide feedback to Engineering for potential re-designs of equipment, tools, and fixtures to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Assess defect coding systems for appropriateness and collaborate with Engineers on defect determinations.
  • Develop findings for product and manufacturing process validation and improvement, analyzing results, making recommendations, and preparing reports for Engineering review.
  • Prioritize own work schedule, understand the impact on overall results, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and adherence to scheduled work hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

What you'll need (Required) :

High School Diploma or equivalent. 5 years of related experience in high-reliability fields required.

Associate's Degree or equivalent medical device experience preferred.

Additional Skills :

  • Assemble and tune Reader & Dock units, generate documentation per manufacturing instructions.
  • Test Printed Circuit Boards and assembled units, generate documentation per test protocols.
  • Provide feedback for re-design opportunities to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Attend work regularly, work a full shift, and adhere to safety and quality guidelines.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Adherence to environmental, health, safety, and ESD guidelines.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Work effectively in a team and be flexible for overtime.
  • Problem-solving, root cause analysis, and good documentation practices.
  • Understanding of electrical system field returns and soldering in high-reliability equipment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to complete training and incorporate new procedures.
