Job summary

Grosvenor Nursery School & Day Care is seeking an Early Years Educator for the Baby Room (0–2 years) on a permanent basis. The role requires a Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in childcare and a warm, caring approach to support babies through early development.

Two shift patterns are available: 35 hours per week (4 days, 8:00–17:30) with a starting salary of £24,609, or 37 hours per week (4 days, 8:00–18:00). All-year-round with paid time off over Christmas/New Year.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 or equivalent qualification in childcare.
• Experience with babies aged 0–2 years.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and best practices in early years education.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality care and education for babies aged 0–2 years.
• Support children's development through play, routine, and positive interactions.
• Attend staff meetings; DBS checks and safeguarding procedures followed.

A Local Authority Maintained Nursery School & Day Care

needs a PERMANENT Baby Room (0 – 2 Years) Early Years Educator to start as soon as possible. Must have a Level 3 or equivalent qualification in childcare.

Either 35 hours a week Salary Grade B SCP 4 £24,609

4 days a week 8am – 5.30pm.

No set day off as it will depend on the needs of the nursery, may vary weekly.

All year around, paid week off over Christmas and New Year

OR

37 hours a week Salary Grade B SCP 4 £26,016 4 days a week 8am – 6.00pm. No set day off as it will depend on the needs of the nursery, may vary weekly.
