Poynder Apartments in Kelso is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist tenants in maintaining independent tenancies within a warm and safe environment. The role involves direct personal and emotional care, using ICT tools such as MS Office 365 and care management software.

£26,618 per annum (pro rata for part time hours) - £13.65 per hour.

Come and join our team as a Support Worker at Poynder Apartments, our extra care housing development in Kelso (the beautifully re-purposed former High School).
As a Support Worker you will deliver person-centered support, to ensure tenants maintain their independent tenancies in a warm, friendly, and safe environment. You will directly support them in their homes by providing advice, assistance, direct personal and emotional care. You should have experience of supporting older people living within their own home, ideally in a supported housing environment.
If you have an interest in providing excellent care and support for people over the age of 60 who have a range of care and support needs in their own tenancies, this is the job for you! Poynder Apartments is ideally located to ensure our tenants are supported to stay connected to their local community of Kelso and to help them to find creative solutions to the challenges they may face.
You should ideally have (or be willing to work to) SVQ3 in Health and Social Care. You will need good ICT skills and be able to use MS Office 365 as well as care, staff, and housing management software, with a positive approach to learn and use new tools as they become available. Most importantly you should be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of Eildon’s vision and values. We are looking to fill several varying shift patterns including waking nights, over 7 days, with individual requirements being discussed at interview stage.
