Job summary

Cygnet is seeking a confident Bank Care & Support Worker to deliver exceptional care at Longfield House in Clayton, Bradford. You’ll work 12-hour shifts and support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, helping them lead safer, more independent lives.

You will provide physical and emotional support, learn about individual needs, help with daily tasks, and assist with accessing community activities.

We are looking for a confident Bank Care & Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding healthcare.

You’ll have the opportunity to pick up 12 hour shifts to suit you and your lifestyle, supporting our service users at Longfield House in Clayton, Bradford.

Located in the friendly village of Clayton in the suburbs of Bradford, Longfield House is a specialist residential service providing outcome focused care for adults with learning disabilities and associated complex needs who may have behaviours that challenge.

Your day‑to‑day…
  • Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
  • Provide guidance &encouragement through physical & emotional support
  • Learn about individuals’ specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way
  • Assist with and report on medical and welfare needs
  • Safeguard
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
  • Supporting service users to access the community, to attend things like work, college, hobbies & activities, days out & holidays
  • Supporting the service users to grow, develop & learn through engaging them in tasks such as cooking & cleaning
