We are seeking an experienced
full-time Consultant Neuropsychiatrist who will work at
Cygnet Taunton and provide senior medical cover on
Blackbird Ward,
our 16 bed male service offering a specialist inpatient pathway for adults with complex neurocognitive conditions and the resulting psychiatric challenges they face.
The post holder will be the Responsible Clinician and will oversee and maintain the care of all ward inpatients as required and will also have responsibility for auditing the medical services rendered at the ward and ensuring their good quality in accordance to GMC standards of good medical practice and other relevant professional guidelines.
Our pathway serves men previously stuck in a cycle of placement breakdowns or long-term hospitalisation. By combining neuropsychiatry, neurorehabilitation, and complex nursing, we offer a cohesive, clinically led alternative. Our interdisciplinary team works directly with families and health professionals to deliver truly integrated support.
In this role, your expertise will be the driving force for life-changing treatment fully supported by a Specialty Doctor and first-class multidisciplinary team including qualified nurses, psychologist and occupational therapist.
