Job summary

Tarmac Colchester DSM - Dry Silo Plant is seeking an Operative to join our team. You will actively participate in activities to ensure plant safety, availability, production output and quality.

The ideal candidate will have experience in an industrial or factory environment. Training will be provided, with opportunities to develop operative and supervisory skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

• Ability to meet daily production targets.
• Good communication skills and a desire to develop operative and supervisory skills.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to our Plant Manager, the successful

Operative will be responsible for actively participating and taking ownership of activities to ensure plant safety, plant availability, production output and quality.

You will also take responsibility for:

• Meeting daily production target requirements
• Reporting of data for quality purposes
• Moving, loading and unloading product from the plant and vehicles
• Meeting customer service requirements in terms of accurate loading and timely vehicle turnaround
• Continuous Improvement of performance standards
• Continuous improvement towards plant and production methods

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience working within an Industrial, Factory or similar environment. Ideally we are looking for experience with the following

Multi-Skilled Operative or

Labourer. Although training will be giving as well to the right person, as well as possess good communication skills and have a real desire in developing both operative and supervisory skills.
