Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Cranberry Township, PA seeks a Manager of the Reactor Vessel Engineering group to lead design and analysis for reactor vessels, including outage support, modifications, and new plant designs.

You will report to the Director, Reactor Component Engineering and be onsite 2 days per week at the global headquarters, driving high-quality outcomes and mentoring engineers while coordinating across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, materials, nuclear engineering, or related discipline.
• Typically 10 years of progressively responsible engineering and/or leadership experience.
• Gather and analyze input, evaluate alternatives, and make decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers, including performance management, career development, and hiring
• Manage work planning, prioritization, and resource management across all supporting departments for multiple projects
• Ensure, high-quality delivery of engineering work products according to internal quality processes and industry standards
• Mentor team members to enhance overall team capability and technical proficiency.
• Provide management-level technical oversight for reactor vessel analysis, closure analyses, long-term operations, and uprates
• Promote continuous improvement, collaboration, and a safety and quality culture
• Coordinate emergent response to customer issues for your responsibilities
