Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Cranberry Township, PA seeks a Manager of the Reactor Vessel Internals Replacement Engineering group within the Reactor Component Engineering department. You will lead the engineering team responsible for the design and analysis of the reactor vessel, supporting outages, modifications, and new plant designs.

The role is hybrid; onsite two days per week, reporting to the Director, Reactor Component Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Materials, nuclear engineering, or related discipline.
• Typically 10 years of progressively responsible engineering and/or leadership experience.
• Gather and analyze input, evaluate alternatives, and make decisions.
• Leadership competency and existing experience in engineering leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers, including performance management, career development, and hiring.
• Manage work planning, prioritization, and resource management across all supporting departments for multiple projects.
• Ensure high-quality delivery of engineering work products according to internal quality processes and industry standards.
• Mentor team members to enhance overall team capability and technical proficiency.
• Provide management-level technical oversight for reactor vessel analysis, closure analyses, long-term operations, and uprates.
• Promote continuous improvement, collaboration, and a safety and quality culture.
• Coordinate emergent response to customer issues for your responsibilities.

You will be Manager of the Reactor Vessel Internals Replacement Engineering group for the Reactor Component Engineering department. You will lead the engineering team responsible for the design and analysis of major the reactor vessel. This includes support for operating plants through outage support and modifications and new plant designs.

You will report to the Director, Reactor Component Engineering, and be located at our global headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. This position is hybrid; you will be onsite 2 days per week.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. We estimate the base salary range for this position, which depends on qualifications, to be 130,400 to 163,000 per year.
