Job summary

Scoot Education is seeking dedicated substitutes and student-support staff to enhance classroom experiences in New Orleans. You’ll supervise and support students, foster an inclusive learning environment, and follow lesson plans provided by teachers.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s/Associates degree or college credits, three references, and state and federal background checks. Bilingual abilities are a plus, and the role is non-exempt with hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required (or college credits).
• Three professional references, including at least one from a prior supervisor.
• State and federal background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students in classroom, playground, or cafeteria.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment; encourage engagement.
• Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions according to lesson plans.
• Communicate clearly with school staff.
• Leave brief notes or feedback for the returning teacher.

Daily Pay Range:

Pay will vary forday-to-day assignments and is typicallymore for long-term placements.Pay varies by certification, school, and assignment.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, associate's degree or college credits

• Have a teaching credential/certificate or 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit
