Job summary

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics in Texas seeks a Registered Dental Assistant to support patient care across orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and general dentistry. The RDA will work in both back office and lobby settings to enhance the patient experience.

Candidates must have an active RDA license in Texas, CPR/AED, nitrous oxide certification, and be bilingual in Spanish. Travel between sister offices may be required, and familiarity with Open Dental or Dentrix is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active RDA license registered with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE).
• CPR and AED certification required; Nitrous Oxide monitoring certification preferred.
• Annual OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control training maintained.
• Experience with dental software (Open Dental/Dentrix) helpful.
• Bilingual in Spanish required.
• Ability to travel between sister offices; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in multiple dental specialties including orthodontics and pediatric dentistry.
• Maintain digital patient records with health history, treatment plans, and charting.
• Take diagnostic X-rays and attach them to patient charts.
• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies according to doctor preferences.
• Educate patients and families on oral health benefits and procedures.
• Assist in ensuring patient safety and compliance with OSHA protocols.
• Support back office and lobby teams to deliver exceptional patient experiences.
