Job summary

Rodeo Dental is seeking a skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our team in Texas. The RDA will provide direct patient care across multiple dental specialties, work in back office and lobby to create an outstanding patient experience.

Applicants must hold an active Texas RDA license, maintain CPR/AED training, and be bilingual in Spanish/English. Nitrous oxide monitoring certification is a plus. Flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Must maintain an active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license registered with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE).
• Active CPR and AED training.
• Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide preferred.
• Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training.
• Dental practice management software experience with Open Dental or Dentrix is helpful.
• Sealant, Coronal Polishing, or PALS certifications are a plus.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is required.

Responsibilities

• End of week inventory to be provided to Lead DA to replenish inventory.
• Focus on patient safety and team safety as priority one.
• Adhere to OSHA and Infection Control protocols and dispose of sharps and waste safely.
• Maintain digital patient artifacts including health history, insurance eligibility, treatment plans, and appointments.
• Educate patients and parents on benefits of good oral health.
• Monitor patient well-being during visits.
• Prepare tray setups per doctor preferences and procedures.
• Ensure exam rooms and operatories are cleaned, disinfected, stocked, and organized.
• Chart existing treatment and update patient charts with entries for fillings, crowns, etc.
• Review patient chart and health history before doctor arrival and reconfirm chief concern.
• Take diagnostic-quality X-Rays and attach to patient chart.
• Help Rodeo Team clean surfaces and common areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
