Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in athenahealth revenue cycle management, claims processing, or healthcare operations.
• Experience resolving claims or unpostables in athenahealth settings.
• Familiarity with medical billing processes and payer interactions.
• Strong command of athenaOne navigation and functionality, or ability to quickly develop deep system expertise.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to self‑manage workload and competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences and senior leaders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently resolve a broad range of claims and unpostables with accuracy and efficiency for RCM Optimization Pilot customers, following practice directives where available while exercising judgment in ambiguous scenarios.
• Use athenaOne navigation and payer portals to manage claims workflows and complete operational tasks.
• Analyze incoming and completed work to identify root causes and recommend process improvements.
• Adapt to evolving workflows and support new, untried, and evolving processes as part of pilot initiatives.
• Participate in pilot program activities including workflow documentation, validation of new processes, customer discussions, and operational readiness assessments.
• Use AI-enabled tools to increase efficiency, support analysis, and learn new tools.
