Job summary

athenahealth is hiring a Manager of Product Operations – Customer Engagement to lead an alpha/beta engagement program in our RCM Transformation division. You will manage a team responsible for customer identification, recruitment, and engagement during product development while transforming manual processes into scalable, automated solutions.

You will use data to inform decisions on engagement, process improvements, and strategic priorities, balancing evolution and growth in a high-impact role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years in people leadership.
• Demonstrated change management and process transformation in complex organizations.
• Strong cross-functional influence with excellent communication across audiences.
• Experience in product operations, product management, or customer engagement in healthcare or B2B SaaS.
• Strategic thinker with strong operational execution.
• Data fluency and ability to drive data-backed decisions.
• Proven track record of developing teams and shared ownership.

Responsibilities

• Lead a transformation period for alpha/beta customer engagement while maintaining excellence.
• Evolve processes from manual to automated and scaled; partner with ops, marketing, analytics teams.
• Strengthen partnerships with Customer Success Managers to improve relationships and sentiment.
• Deliver executive-level insights on engagement metrics and feedback.
• Shape future of customer engagement with autonomy and strategic value.
• Collaborate across product, operations, marketing, and customer success with leadership visibility.
• Motivate and guide the team through change to maximize impact.
