Job summary

athenahealth is seeking an Operations Senior Analyst, RCM Transformation, to advance revenue cycle operations and support scalable service offerings. The role focuses on resolving claims and unpostables, analyzing performance, and driving pilot initiatives across teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in athenahealth revenue cycle management, claims processing, or healthcare operations.
• Experience resolving claims or unpostables in athenahealth settings.
• Familiarity with medical billing processes and payer interactions.
• Strong command of athenaOne navigation and functionality, or ability to quickly develop deep system expertise.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to evaluate data and identify trends.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to self-manage workload.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences and senior leaders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
• Experience in cross-functional environments preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently resolve a broad range of claims and unpostables with accuracy and efficiency for RCM Optimization Pilot customers.
• Use internal systems and tools (athenaOne navigation, payer portals) to manage claims workflows and tasks.
• Analyze incoming and completed work to identify root causes and suggest process improvements.
• Adapt to evolving workflows and support new, evolving pilot processes.
• Participate in pilot activities including documentation, validation, and stakeholder discussions.
• Use AI-enabled tools to increase efficiency and learn new tools.
