Job summary

Baylor Genetics is seeking a Manager of RCM Training & Excellence to ensure onboarding, role-based training, and SOP maintenance reflect current workflow and payer requirements. You will measure competency and drive quality through targeted training and reviews.

You will partner with RCM leaders to update materials, validate training impact, and support changes before go-live, ensuring consistent, audit-ready documentation across the RCM function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, education, business, health information management, instructional design, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of healthcare RCM experience, including 2+ years in training, quality, onboarding, coaching, or operational enablement.
• Experience writing SOPs, job aids, curricula, assessments, and competency standards.
• Experience using audit findings, errors, denials, or performance data to identify training needs.
• Strong writing, facilitation, coaching, organization, analysis, and presentation skills.
• Experience leading projects, programs, subject‑matter experts, trainers, or quality resources.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage structured onboarding plans for each RCM role with learning, practice, assessments, and standards for independent work.
• Create, deliver, and coordinate role-based training using realistic cases, knowledge checks, work samples, and refresher sessions.
• Track learner progress and provide managers with recommendations for practice or retraining.
• Maintain a single inventory of current SOPs, job aids, curricula, facilitator guides, and learner materials.
• Update training and documentation when workflows or payer requirements change.
• Ensure instructions specify who performs each step, required docs, escalation points, and approved workflow.
• Define passing standards and validate competency before employees work independently; document responses when standards aren’t met.
• Support changes by preparing training and job aids before launch and providing post-go-live support.
• Create or coordinate quality reviews and analyze trends to identify if issues require training or process changes.
• Measure improvements in post-training quality, productivity, and turnaround time; report status to leadership.
• Lead training and quality resources by setting priorities and planning capacity around hiring, releases, audits, and priorities.
