Job summary

athenahealth seeks a Senior Manager, Content Production to lead hands-on RCM content creation and subject-matter ownership. You will own the RCM content roadmap, write blogs and eBooks, and flex into related areas such as Value-Based Care and Payer as priorities evolve.

You will build deep RCM fluency, collaborate with Product and Marketing, and translate complex topics into clear, authoritative content for multiple audiences across a matrixed organization.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years in content marketing, editorial, journalism, or professional writing roles.
• Healthcare industry experience required; direct experience with RCM preferred.
• Familiarity with Value-Based Care, Payer, Interoperability, or Patient Experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated success coordinating input across a matrixed organization without direct authority.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills to translate complex topics into clear content.

Responsibilities

• Own the RCM content roadmap within the editorial strategy.
• Write RCM content with a focus on blogs and eBooks.
• Conduct interviews, review data, and research to ground content.
• Tailor voice for audiences across Enterprise, Small Group, and other segments.
• Create briefs for freelance writers and review their work for quality.
• Coordinate stakeholder reviews and approval cycles across teams.
