Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our fast-paced procedural team. You will work with cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures, providing technical expertise, clinical judgment, and rapid response.

In this role, you’ll scrub, monitor hemodynamics, operate cath lab imaging and fluoroscopy, and help maintain safety standards while educating patients through their procedure.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent required.
• ARRT registration and RCIS/RCES with CCI or SC licensure required.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with invasive cardiac procedures alongside cardiologists.
• Scrub and provide technical support during cath lab procedures.
• Monitor hemodynamics and cardiac rhythms.
• Operate imaging, fluoroscopy, and related equipment.
• Prepare sterile fields and instruments.
• Respond to arrhythmias and emergencies.
• Educate patients during the procedural process.
• Ensure radiation safety and infection control.
