Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist II for its Cardiac Cath Lab to develop expertise in invasive cardiovascular procedures and hemodynamic monitoring. You will work with physicians and staff to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include scrub duties, right/left heart catheterizations, ECG monitoring, and accurate procedure documentation in the EMR, while advancing toward advanced cardiovascular

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Graduation from an accredited Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program or qualifying equivalent education/experience and applicable certification.
• Alternatively, graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology with one year of radiologic experience.
• RCIS, RCES, CEPS, or RT(R)CI certification as required within the first two years of hire.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within three months of hire.
• Strong teamwork, communication, attention to detail, and commitment to patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Be Part of the Procedure Team: work alongside physicians and clinical team during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterizations and peripheral vascular procedures.
• Develop Specialized Cardiovascular Skills: perform scrub duties for cardiac interventions and right/left heart catheterizations while building expertise in peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Work with Advanced Clinical Technology: monitor ECG rhythms and hemodynamic waveforms, record procedural information, and document interventions and equipment in the EMR procedure log.
• Support Safe, High-Quality Patient Care: prepare procedure rooms, maintain sterile technique, perform safety equipment checks, ensure supplies are available, assist with patient transport and readiness.
• Grow Your Cardiovascular Career: expand clinical knowledge and work toward advanced cardiovascular credentials in an invasive environment.
