Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to promote health, safety and well-being for adults with developmental disabilities. The role supports individuals 60+ in living environments with high-quality, person-centered care.

Shifts include AM, PM, and NOC; hourly rate $20.00–$22.00 depending on certifications and role. Full-time benefits are provided, and applicants must obtain DSP certification and RBT within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Direct Support Professional certificate required or to be obtained.
• RBT certification to be obtained within first year of employment.
• First Aid/CPR & CPI preferred or willing to obtain.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have CA driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Outline and prepare daily routines for clients as per Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs and clothing changes as required.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Transport clients using company van when needed.

Here’s What You'll Do:

The Direct Support Professional supports individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting their health, safety and well-being. Our Direct Support Professionals proudly serve as an advocate to improve the overall quality of life for our clients ensuring high-quality services and supports for adults ages 60+ requiring assisted living.

Essential Functions:

• Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).

Shifts Needed:

AM: Tuesday -Friday 6:00AM - 2:00PM

PM: Tuesday- Friday 2:00PM- 10:00PM

NOC:Tuesday- Friday 10:00PM - 6:00AM

Education and Experience:

• Direct Support Professional Certificate – DSP Year 1 & Year 2 (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• Obtain your RBT within the 1st Year of Employment
• First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver’s License
• Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 30lbs.
• Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
