Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network in Vacaville, CA seeks a Direct Support Professional to help individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting health, safety and well-being. This full-time position requires DSP certificates within 12 months, a valid California driver’s license, and ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Outline and prepare daily routines for clients as written in their plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs and hygiene.
• Change clients' underwear or clothing as needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with cleanup.
• Transport clients in company vans when required.

Job Title: Direct Support Professional
Hourly Rate: $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
Shifts Needed: AM and PM
Job Status: Full Time

Here’s What You’ll Do:

TheDirect Support Professionalsupports individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting their health, safety and well-being. Our Direct Support Professionals proudly serve as an advocate to improve the overall quality of life for our clients.

Essential Functions:

• Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.


• Assist clients with bathroom needs.


• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.


• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.


• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).

Education and Experience:

• Direct Support Professional Certificate – DSP Year 1 & Year 2 (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)


• First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)


• Must be at least 21 years of age


• Must have a California Driver’s License


• Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 30lbs.


• Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
