Job summary

Zeal Senior Living is hiring an experienced RCFE Administrator to lead two communities in San Diego County: Huntington Manor and House in Poway, plus Villa Bernardo in Escondido. This full-time role offers a base salary of $85,000–$95,000, plus a performance bonus of up to $10,000 annually.

You will oversee daily operations, staffing, budgets, ensure care quality, and maintain compliance with CDSS Title 22 and related requirements. Travel between Poway and Escondido is required.

Qualifications

• California RCFE Administrator certificate meeting CDSS requirements for 16–49 residents.
• At least two years as RCFE Administrator or Assistant Administrator with staff/operations responsibility.
• Working knowledge of Title 22 and CCL, inspections and corrective action.
• Experience with tours, admissions, and budget management; clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain consistent care, clear documentation, and responsive relationships with residents and families.

Lead assisted living and memory care across two small senior living communities.

Zeal Senior Living is hiring an experienced RCFE Administrator to lead two communities in San Diego County: Huntington Manor and House in Poway (27 assisted living beds) and Villa Bernardo in Escondido (10 beds, including memory care). This full-time role offers a base salary of $85,000–$95,000, plus a performance bonus of up to $10,000 annually.

As a operator‑owned company, we offer direct access to ownership and the autonomy to improve how both homes run. You’ll lead the teams, build trust with residents and families, and take responsibility for care quality, compliance, and occupancy.

Compensation and benefits:

• Base salary: $85,000–$95,000 annually, depending on experience.
• Performance bonus: Up to $10,000 annually, paid quarterly based on occupancy and regulatory compliance. Specific targets and payout terms discussed during interviews and documented before hire.
• Paid time off: Two weeks annually, available after 90 days under the company’s PTO policy.
• Monthly benefit allowance: $200 in addition to base salary, provided as a taxable stipend. No employer-sponsored health plan is provided; employees arrange their own coverage.

What you’ll lead

• Manage daily operations, staffing, schedules, and labor budgets; recruit, coach, and retain a dependable team.
• Maintain consistent care, clear documentation, and responsive relationships with residents and families.
• Lead CCL compliance, inspection readiness, required reporting, and timely corrective action.
• Own tours, inquiry follow-up, referral relationships, and admissions that match residents’ needs with each community’s capabilities.
• Coordinate CalAIM and Assisted Living Waiver intake and documentation with care and billing partners.

What you’ll bring:

• A current California RCFE Administrator certificate and qualifications meeting CDSS requirements for a facility licensed for 16–49 residents.
• At least two years as an RCFE Administrator or Assistant Administrator, with direct responsibility for staff and operations.
• Working knowledge of Title 22 and CCL requirements, with experience managing inspections and corrective action.
• A track record in team leadership, budget management, tours, and admissions, supported by sound judgment and clear communication.
• The ability to travel reliably between Poway and Escondido.
• Ability to satisfy all CDSS criminal background check and facility-association requirements before starting work.
• Multi‑site experience, local referral relationships, and familiarity with CalAIM or ALW are helpful.

Schedule and coverage:

Full-time, salaried exempt, with on‑site leadership at both homes. Zeal expects at least 20 hours per week at each location. You’ll maintain dependable staffing and backup coverage, and provide after‑hours leadership and on‑site support as needed.
