Job summary

Leidos Inc is hiring a part-time team member for their telecom design team in Portland, Oregon. This role is vital for supporting utility control center designs and requires significant experience in communications cabling.

The position supports teleworking and involves developing and maintaining design drawings, supporting project material development, and ensuring compliance with established standards. Candidates must have RCDD accreditation and are preferred to have engineering education and related experience with telecommunications infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience as an RCDD developing communications cabling design.
• Experience with Corning, Commscope, or BEJED equipment is preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen able to pass a DOE security background check.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a member of the design team for a new utility control center.
• Develop design drawings for communications cabling infrastructure.
• Support the development of bills of material for cabling systems.

Current RCDD accreditation with BICSI

Designing inside plant and outside plant fiber communications
