Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; 10+ years of experience in design and construction of RCC dams; chartered professional engineer status; IPES Samoa membership is required by local law.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Quality Control Systems, Processes and Laboratory Infrastructure are suitable for RCC dam operations.
• Provide quality assurance during construction, including field observation, testing, documentation and responses to project-specific questions.
• Monitor RCC operations for adherence to specifications and international best practice.
• Ensure proper RCC batching, transport, placement, surface preparation, compaction and lift surface preparation.
• Ensure testing throughout RCC placement including in-place density, temperature monitoring, cylinder preparation and compressive strength testing.
