Job summary

N26 is seeking a Compliance and Prevention Associate to join our Complaints Management and Prevention team in Berlin. You will execute remediation deliverables, perform root cause analyses, and ensure compliance checks across markets with focus on Germany.

German language proficiency is required, and a relocation visa is available. You will collaborate with auditors and management while advancing our digital banking platform across Europe.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of proven experience in compliance controls, assurance, banking operations or complaints management in German financial space.
• Full working proficiency in German language.
• Background in consulting, assurance functions, financial regulation, banking QA or audit support.
• Familiarity with BaFin MaBeschwer, PSD2 and MaComp standards; data analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Remediation Execution: ensure timely delivery of remediation initiatives with auditors and management.
• Compliance Maintenance: draft and update Written Orders, Work Instructions, process maps, and guidelines.
• Case-Level RCA Investigations: conduct deep-dive investigations across markets to identify root causes.
• Audit Evidence Compilation: collect, structure, and archive ToD/ToE evidence for reviews.
• Quality and Output Compliance: verify SLA calculations, delay triggers, and conflicts of interest.
